How do they work?
Vented tumble dryers work by drawing in surrounding air which is then heated in the machine and flows through and around your laundry. The hot air then escapes through an external vent, meaning the tumble dryer needs to be located in a suitable place in the home, near to a door or window in order to provide an outlet.
For those with busy lives and needing laundry to be completed in a flash, vented dryers have faster drying times compared to other models, due to the expelling of hot air meaning the clothes don’t absorb as much moisture from the air staying trapped in the machine. Since the moist air is vented outside, it also keeps excess humidity out of your home, preventing dampness or mould. The fact they operate this way means that they operate using faster cycles, which makes them energy efficient, keeping running costs lower than some other types of tumble dryers.
Our vented tumble dryers offer up to 15 different programmes, some including an Anti-Crease technology function to reduce time spent ironing laundry. Or Sensor Dry where the machine detects how dry the clothes are according to the setting you have chosen.
